A bomb threat was reported on IndiGo flight 6E2211 operating from Delhi to Varanasi today. The threat was received while the aircraft was at Delhi airport, prompting immediate action from airport security agencies.
Following the threat, the aircraft was directed to a remote bay as per standard protocol. All passengers were safely evacuated from the plane using emergency exits. The Quick Response Team (QRT) has been conducting a thorough search of the aircraft but has not found any suspicious items so far.
In a statement, IndiGo confirmed the incident, stating, “Flight 6E2211 operating from Delhi to Varanasi had received a specific bomb threat at Delhi airport. All necessary protocols were followed, and the aircraft was taken to a remote bay as per guidelines by airport security agencies. All passengers were safely evacuated via the emergency exits.”
The airline further added that the flight is currently undergoing a comprehensive inspection. Once all security checks are completed, the aircraft will be positioned back in the terminal area.
