Volvo has introduced the EX30 Cross Country, a rugged version of its compact EX30 electric SUV. This marks the first time a Volvo EV carries the ‘Cross Country’ badge, featuring off-road enhancements and a tougher design.
Volvo EX30 Cross Country Features
The EX30 Cross Country retains the signature ‘Thor’s Hammer’ LED headlights and split C-shaped taillights. A unique touch is the black panel below the headlamps, carved with Sweden’s Kebnekaise mountain range. Additionally, the SUV gets reinforced front and rear skid plates, bold wheel arch cladding, and a roof rack. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, while its ground clearance is raised by 19 mm for better rough-terrain capability.
Inside, the EX30 Cross Country mirrors its standard counterpart, featuring a 12.3-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen with Google-built-in services, including Google Maps. The dashboard follows a minimalist approach, almost entirely free of physical buttons and knobs.
Under the hood, the EX30 Cross Country boasts the same dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup as the standard model, delivering 422 bhp and 543 Nm of torque. It is powered by a 64 kWh battery, offering a range of 427 km per charge. The EV supports fast charging, reaching 10-80% in just 26 minutes.
