TVS likely to launch Jupiter 125 CNG scooter in 2025

The Indian two-wheeler market now includes both petrol-powered and electric scooters. However, CNG technology is set to be included in a popular 125cc scooter. This model is neither the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, or TVS Ntorq 125. The model is TVS Jupiter 125.

The Bajaj Freedom 125, the world’s first CNG motorbike, was introduced to the motorcycle market recently.


TVS has been trying several alternative fuel technologies over the years and has already produced a CNG option, as per a report by Autocar Professional.

The TVS Jupiter 125 will be equipped with CNG technology. According to the report, the CNG scooter’s manufacturing may begin in September or October.

The Jupiter 125 CNG might be released in India in the fourth quarter (October-December) of 2024 or the first half (January-June) of 2025, with TVS initially targeting 1,000 CNG scooters per month.

The TVS Jupiter 125 currently uses a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine that produces 8.2PS of maximum power and 10.5Nm of peak torque.

Currently, the TVS Jupiter 125 is powered by a 124.8cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 10.5Nm of peak torque and 8.2PS of maximum power. The engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission.
