Third generation Suzuki Swift gets 3 stars in Euro NCAP crash test

In the Euro NCAP crash test, the third-generation Suzuki Swift received a three-star safety rating. In the Adult Occupant Protection category, the new generation hatchback achieved a total of 26.9 points, or 67%, while in the Child Occupant Protection category, it received 32.1 points, or 65%.

The latest generation Swift, which has several upgrades over the previous generation vehicle, was introduced by Maruti Suzuki earlier this year. The ex-showroom pricing range for the India-spec model is ₹6.49 lakh to ₹9.44 lakh. In any case, the international market-spec model model and the Indian market-spec Swift are not the same. The European market-spec model is the vehicle that underwent testing by Euro NCAP.


The market specification for Europe The Suzuki Swift is equipped with side head airbags for all occupants, side chest airbags, side pelvis airbags for front occupants and dual front airbags. In addition, all passengers are equipped with seatbelt load limiters and pre-tensioners.

The Euro NCAP crash test data indicates that the new Swift’s ADAS system received a score of 62% with 11.3 points. The AEB Car-to-Car system, Lane Support system and Occupant Status Monitoring system got 2.5, 0.5 and 6.5 points, respectively, while the Speed Assistance system received 2.1 points.
