The Tata Curvv EV has finally been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It is Tata Motors’ first coupe SUV and comes in a completely electric variant. Petrol and diesel models will be introduced later on. Its major rival will now be the Citroen Basalt, which will be available in India soon.
Tata Curvv EV Features
In terms of design, the Curvv EV has a completely new design that includes elements of European design often found in coupe SUVs. A sloping roofline merges elegantly into a flat boot that houses a sharp and slim connected tail lamp configuration. The rear bumper also features several creases that provide flair to the Curvv’s rear section. The front resembles the Tata Nexon, with a bold grille, slim connected LED DRLs and projector headlights hidden underneath in the bumper.
The Tata Curvv is 4,308 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,630 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,560 mm and the cargo capacity is around 422 litres.
Panoramic sunroof, Level-2 ADAS, 10.25-inch instrument cluster display, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, ventilated front seats, air purifier, ambient lighting, auto-dimming IRVM, motorized tailgate and more are among the features that the Curvv is equipped with.
Six airbags, ESP, all-wheel disc brakes and several additional features are included as standard on the Curvv EV. It also receives alerts for pedestrian safety and autonomous driving assistance.
Curvv EV will include two battery packs: 55 kWh and 45 kWh. The SUV also claimed to be ferociously fast, with a 123 kW motor. Curvv EV is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.6 seconds.
