Skoda has launched the Skoda Kushaq Onyx 1.0L TSI AT, starting at ₹13.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This new version slots between existing trims, providing a unique perspective on features and automatic transmission accessibility.
The Kushaq Onyx AT is a direct answer to customer feedback. It fills the gap between a low-cost choice and a feature-rich variant. This planned decision sets the Kushaq Onyx AT as an option for the cheapest automatic SUV in its class.
Some of the exterior parts of the higher-spec Ambition version are borrowed by the Kushaq Onyx AT. It has signature Crystalline LED headlights with DRLs from Skoda as well as front fog lamps with a cornering function.
Notable changes to the cabin include paddle shifters and hill hold control. The driver has a multifunction control panel, chrome accents and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Skoda’s Climatronic, which features a touch panel for climate control, benefits passengers. Six airbags are standard, ensuring safety. The SUV gets “Onyx”-themed cushions and mats.
The 1.0 TSI turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 178 Nm of torque and 113 bhp of power, continues to stay in the Kushaq Onyx AT. An automated gearbox with six speeds is coupled to this engine. Notably, in the Global New Car Assessment Programme (GNCAP) crash testing, the Kushaq received a flawless five-star rating for both adult and child passenger safety.
