The next-generation Kia Seltos has been spotted for the first time during road tests in South Korea, hinting at significant upgrades. Following its recent facelift last year, the second-gen Seltos promises even more in terms of design, features, and performance.
Notable changes include a slightly longer silhouette, which may lead to increased cabin and cargo space. The spy shots reveal a revamped front and rear design, with bold LED headlights and unique LED DRLs, giving the SUV a modern, high-end look. The grille appears set to adopt a rectangular shape with vertical slats, further enhancing its premium appeal.
With its combination of striking design, advanced features, and versatile powertrain options, the new Kia Seltos is shaping up to be a top contender in the compact SUV segment.
The Seltos’ powertrain has also undergone significant modifications. While the specifics are yet unknown, the second generation Kia Seltos is expected to include a 1.6-liter hybrid petrol engine derived from the Hyundai Kona Hybrid that produces 141 horsepower. The transmission options are anticipated to include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed clutchless manual, 6-speed torque converter, CVT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
