Renault unveils Duster-based Bigster ahead of Paris Motor Show debut

The three-row Bigster from Renault’s subbrand Dacia has been revealed ahead of its October 14 debut date at the 2024 Paris Motor Show.

The Bigster is much bigger than the Duster on which it is based, being around 230mm longer overall and with a 43mm longer wheelbase. The Bigster is 4.57 metres in length, 1.81 metres in width, 1.71 metres in height and has a wheelbase length of 2.7 metres. Bigster’s powertrain options will now include LPG, mild hybrid and strong hybrid petrol engines.

The production vehicle has many similarities to the Bigster concept, which was introduced in 2021. The nose has a huge, glossy black grille with the Dacia brand logo in the centre. Like the Duster, the Bigster features a high, creased bonnet that is said to improve the driver’s line of sight. The headlight and taillight parts are LEDs with a Y-shaped light signature.

The cabin layout is similar to that of the Duster, with options for a 7- or 10-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, as well as Y-shaped motifs on the AC vents.
