Renault Bigster teased ahead of Paris Motor Show debut

Renault’s sibling company Dacia recently introduced the Duster SUV to the global market. The firm now plans on launching the three-row SUV based on the Duster R which will be called Bigster in the global market. The SUV will make its premiere at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, which occurs from October 14 to October 20. Prior to the debut, the company shared a teaser that revealed a few design features while keeping secrecy over the details.

The Dacia’s recently unveiled teaser offers a first look at the back end of the vehicle, with the majority of the body panels hidden under a veil. The brand has unveiled the SUV’s name, “Bigger,” indicating that this is the name that will be used on the production version of the vehicle.

The Renault Duster will compete against compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Alcazar, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder, while the Renault Bigster will compete with vehicles like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700.

It is anticipated that the Renault Bigster would share many of the same features as the Duster because it will be based on the same CMF-B platform. It is expected to include a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine with a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine option, the same as the Duster. Both 4×2 and 4×2 powertrain modes are expected.
