Porsche Panamera GTS launches at Rs 2.34 crore

The most powerful versions of the four-door sedan, the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and Panamera GTS, have been unveiled by Porsche AG. The new Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, the model’s highest-performing variant, combines a V8 engine with electrical assistance. In the meanwhile, the Panamera GTS uses the V8 engine’s non-hybrid version, which produces somewhat less power. Notably, the Panamera GTS is the only model available in India for ₹2.34 crore (ex-showroom).

The most recent version of the Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo Sport (GTS) blends everyday usability with an extra dose of sportiness. The 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine produces 493 bhp, which is 20 bhp more than the engine in its predecessor. It can accelerate to 100 kmph from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.8 seconds, which is a tenth of a second faster.

The new-generation Panamera GTS has black GTS  logos on the sides and back of the vehicle. It also has dark-tinted HD matrix LED headlights and taillights, as well as red brake calipers. The Sport package includes satin matt black side skirts, insets in the front, side window trims and rear bumper. The exhaust tips are coated in dark bronze to provide an attractive contrast.

The Panamera GTS’s cabin also receives a sporty look, with suede-like Race-Tex used across. There are flexible sports seats with 18-way adjustment, a Bose sound system and a Sport Chrono package that includes a stopwatch and push-to-pass feature.
