Oben Electric aims to launch 4 new electric two-wheelers in India over the next six months, according to a press statement. With these forthcoming models, the Bengaluru-based EV company that offers the ₹1.60 lakh (ex-showroom) Oben Rorr electric motorbike hopes to meet the needs of a wide variety of customers and capture more than two-thirds of the market for electric motorcycles. The manufacturer of EVs added that the forthcoming electric two-wheelers will be available for sale at different price points, with a range of ₹60,000 to ₹1.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
The electric vehicle startup didn’t reveal the specifications and features of its product. The company stated, however, that the goal of this strategic move is to provide high-performance, reasonably priced electric two-wheelers that are ideal for a wide range of customer needs across market sectors.
The company said, “Oben Electric is gearing up for its next phase of growth. As part of this, the company plans to launch four new electric two-wheelers over the next six months, with prices starting as low as ₹60,000 and going up to ₹150,000.”
