BMW India has announced that bookings for the new 5 Series will begin at 12:00 p.m. today. Bookings for the 5 Series LWB can be made through the BMW Online store and the German brand’s dealership network. This is the first time the luxury sedan in a long-wheelbase form has been launched in India.
As of now, there are two options available for the BMW 5 Series LWB: the 530Li M Sport LWB with highlights in Titanium Bronze or the finished in what the brand calls Aluminium Satinated. There are two exterior colours to select from: Sparkling Copper Grey and Carbon Metallic Black, while the inside can only be specified in the dual-tone Copper Brown and Atlas Grey finish, with Veganza perforated and quilted upholstery.
The Mercedes E-Class, which has been available in a long-wheelbase form for a while, will directly take on the Mercedes 5 Series LWB. The BMW is larger, broader, higher, and has a longer wheelbase than the current and next-generation E-Class when compared to the two luxury sedans.
