Mercedes-Maybach has introduced the EQS SUV in India, with a starting price of Rs 2.25 crore (ex-showroom). The first-ever electric Maybach is offered in a single fully equipped trim, the 680, with a range of up to 611 kilometres (WLTP) on a single charge.

The premium electric SUV comes with a 122kWh battery and two permanent synchronous motors on each axle, making it a 4×4 vehicle. The power and torque statistics are 649 horsepower and 950 Nm. In terms of performance, the EQS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds faster than the EQS 580. It can reach a top speed of 210 km/h.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 has a unique two-tone paint scheme, with the lower part of the vehicle painted in Velvet Brown, Selenite Gray, Silver, or Kalahari Gold and the top portion painted in darker shades of black or blue. There are also air inlets embellished with Maybach signature patterns, as well as a new HD system with one million pixels per headlight that adjusts itself based on data obtained from the camera, sensors, and navigation system.
The electric SUV’s exterior has Active Ambient Lighting, which comes with thirteen lighting settings and sixty-four colours, including Maybach-exclusive themes like Rose Gold and Amethyst Glow.
