Mercedes-Benz EQA launched in India at Rs 66 lakh; Check features

The Mercedes-Benz EQA made its debut in India a week after it was first introduced, with a starting price of ₹ 66 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Based on the same platform as the GLA, which was introduced earlier this year, it is the most reasonably priced compact crossover that Mercedes offers in the nation. Following the EQB, EQE and EQS as well as the EQA, Mercedes-Benz’s fourth battery electric vehicle (BEV) in India.By the end of 2024, Mercedes intends to introduce the Maybach EQS EV and the electric G-Class, also known as the Gelandewagen, into the Indian market.

Bookings for the EQA have already begun and deliveries are anticipated to start at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.


Mercedes-Benz EQA Features

The Mercedes-Benz EQA features a 70.5 kWh battery pack with a WLTP range of 560 km and a real-world range of around 450 km. A typical 11 kW AC wallbox charger can charge the battery from 0-100 in little more than seven hours and a 100 kW DC fast charger can charge it from 10-80% in less than 40 minutes. The motor produces 140 kW and 385 Nm of maximum torque and the 0-100 kmph sprint takes around 8.6 seconds. The automobile can reach a maximum speed of 160 kmph.

The cabin looks similar to the GLA, with dual 10.25-inch displays and a star design on the dashboard and door trims. The vehicle is equipped with seven airbags, including a knee airbag for the driver, run-flat tyres, car-to-X communication and electronic driver assistance systems.
