Mercedes-AMG has officially launched the C63 S E Performance in India at a price of Rs 1.95 crore (ex-showroom). This high-performance version of the popular C-Class sedan marks the return of the AMG badge to India, two years after its global debut in September 2022. Bookings for the car are now open, with deliveries expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025.
Key Features and Design:
The C63 S E Performance features distinctive AMG design elements, including the AMG Panamericana grille, aggressive bumpers, wider side skirts, 20-inch forged alloys, a prominent rear diffuser, and quad exhausts. The interior is a blend of luxury and sportiness, with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, Burmester 3D sound system with 15 speakers and sports seats for a more dynamic driving experience.
Powertrain and Performance:
Under the hood, the C63 S E Performance is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 469 bhp and 545 Nm of torque, making it the world’s most powerful production four-cylinder engine. The engine is paired with an electric motor generating 201 bhp and 320 Nm, bringing the combined output to an impressive 671 bhp and 1020 Nm of torque. The car is equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 6.1 kWh battery that provides a 13 km pure electric range.
