Maruti Suzuki, one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, has finally revealed the price of its highly anticipated SUV, the Jimny. With six variants available, the base model starts at ₹12.74 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end variant, Alpha AT (Dual Tone), is priced at ₹15.05 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti aims for the Jimny to bolster its presence in the SUV segment and vie for the top position alongside models like Brezza, Fronx, and Grand Vitara.
Equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, the Jimny offers both manual and automatic transmission options. In addition, customers have the option to own the SUV through a subscription plan, with all-inclusive monthly fees starting from ₹33,550.
The pricing details for the Jimny’s trims are as follows: Zeta MT (₹12.74 lakh), Zeta AT (₹13.94 lakh), Alpha MT (₹13.69 lakh), Alpha AT (₹14.89 lakh), and two dual-tone variants – Alpha MT (₹13.85 lakh) and Alpha AT (₹15.05 lakh). All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
The Jimny made its initial debut at the Auto Expo earlier this year and has since generated significant anticipation among SUV enthusiasts. Maruti Suzuki’s Senior Executive Officer (Sales and Marketing), Shashank Srivastava, expressed his confidence in the Jimny’s positive impact on the brand’s overall value and its SUV market expansion in the country.
With an investment of ₹960 crore in developing the five-door variant, Maruti Suzuki aims to leverage the success of the globally popular Jimny, which has sold over 3.2 million units across 199 countries and regions. While the Jimny is traditionally sold as a three-door model worldwide, this marks the first time a five-door version is being introduced.
As the Jimny hits the Indian market, car enthusiasts and potential buyers eagerly await the opportunity to experience Maruti’s latest offering in the SUV segment, which combines style, performance, and the brand’s trusted legacy.
