Mahindra plans to launch the XUV 3XO EV in an effort to increase its range of electric vehicles. Recently, the electric variant of the compact SUV was seen travelling over Indian roads. In Mahindra’s lineup, the XUV 3XO EV will be positioned below the XUV 400 and will face off against the Tata Nexon EV.
The spy photos show the XUV 3XO EV covered in camouflage. Therefore, it is logical to assume that a few design modifications will be made to assist in distinguishing the ICE version from the EV version.
The LED daytime running lamps and headlight configuration are identical to those of the XUV 3XO. There may be a new grille, slightly modified badging and a different set of bumpers. Aside from that, Mahindra may provide a few EV-specific colour options.
Due to the fact that the XUV 3XO is 200 mm shorter than the XUV 400. The boot space would be reduced. For comparison, the XUV 400 has a 378-litre boot. To increase aerodynamics, a new set of alloy wheels with aero inserts could be installed on the sides.
There are two battery pack options for the XUV 400: 34.5 kWh and 39.5 kWh. The 34.5 kWh battery pack is the only one available for the XUV 3XO EV. Thus, it is anticipated that the electric SUV will have a range of about 375 kilometers.
