Mahindra XEV 9e achieves 5-star in Bharat NCAP crash tests

The Mahindra XEV 9e has received an impressive 5-star safety rating in the latest round of Bharat NCAP crash tests. The all-electric SUV achieved a full 32 out of 32 points for Adult Occupancy Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 points for Child Occupancy Protection (COP), making it one of the safest electric vehicles in its category.

In the crash tests, the XEV 9e performed exceptionally well, scoring a perfect 16/16 in both the frontal offset deformable barrier and side movable deformable barrier tests. The model’s driver and front passenger protection were rated ‘good’ in all critical areas, including head, chest, pelvis, and legs. The vehicle also received a ‘good’ rating in the side pole impact test, further solidifying its safety credentials.

When it comes to child protection, the XEV 9e excelled with a dynamic test score of 24/24, a 12/12 in CRS installation, and 9/13 in vehicle assessment. The SUV was tested with both 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies in rearward-facing seats, ensuring optimal safety for young passengers.
