Mahindra Thar 5-Door spotted in India ahead of launch this year; Here’s what to expect

The brand filed for a patent on the name, thus it is expected to be named “Thar Armada,” and it will debut on August 15th. Recently, the forthcoming SUV was seen on the Indian roads and the latest spy photos do provide some further details.

The Thar Armada will have a new pair of circular headlights up front, according to spy photos. They might consist of a projector setup and LED units. There would still be fog lamps in the bumper and marker lights on the front fenders.

A new pair of LED-powered tail lights can be found at the back. The alloy wheels, which are anticipated to be 18 inches in diameter, have also been given an upgrade.

The forthcoming Thar 5-door’s features have been largely disclosed by previous spy photos. A new touchscreen infotainment system, which made its debut with the XUV400 Pro, will be installed in the SUV. An electric sunroof and an automated climate control system would be included.

The Thar 5-door will be available with a petrol or diesel engine. The diesel engine will be a 2.2-litre unit, while the petrol engine will be a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit. A 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and a 6-speed manual gearbox will be paired to both engines. The company is anticipated to provide both four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive powertrains.
