Mahindra BE 6 & XEV 9e electric SUVs see 30,179 bookings on day 1

Mahindra’s latest electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, have made a strong debut, collectively securing 30,179 bookings on the first day. The split between the two models stands at 56% for the XEV 9e and 44% for the BE 6. Notably, the Pack Three top model with a 79kWh battery pack emerged as the most popular choice among buyers.

The BE 6 is available in two configurations:

  • 59kWh Battery: Produces 231hp, 380Nm torque, and offers an ARAI-certified range of 556km.
  • 79kWh Battery: Generates 286hp, 380Nm torque, and boasts an impressive 682km range.

Mahindra offers the 59kWh battery in all BE 6 variants except for the top-spec Pack Three model, which exclusively gets the larger 79kWh battery.

Similarly, the XEV 9e comes with two battery pack options:

  • 59kWh Battery: 231hp, 380Nm, and a MIDC range of 542km.
  • 79kWh Battery: 286hp, 380Nm, and a range of 656km.

Charging Capabilities

Both SUVs support fast charging, significantly reducing downtime. The BE 6 and XEV 9e charge as follows:

  • 59kWh Battery: 8.7 hours (7.2kW AC), 6 hours (11.2kW AC), 20 minutes (140kW DC fast charger).
  • 79kWh Battery: 11.7 hours (7.2kW AC), 8 hours (11.2kW AC), 20 minutes (175kW DC fast charger).

Bookings & Deliveries

Mahindra’s production capacity is limited to 5,000 units per month, with deliveries scheduled from March to August 2025. Customers can book these electric SUVs at select Mahindra dealerships nationwide or through the official website.
