
The Lotus Emira, the British brand’s only ICE-powered car in India, has made its debut with a starting price of Rs 3.22 crore (ex-showroom). This mid-engine, lightweight sports car embodies Lotus’ heritage of precision engineering and performance. The launch coincides with the introduction of the Lotus Emeya, an electric hyper-GT, and the Eletre electric SUV, further expanding Lotus’ presence in India. Exclusive Motors has also unveiled the flagship Lotus Centre at the World Trade Centre, New Delhi.
The Emira offers two engine options:
- A 2.0-litre turbocharged AMG unit in two states of tune – 365hp/430Nm (Turbo) and 406hp/480Nm (Turbo SE).
- A 3.5-litre supercharged V6 from Toyota, delivering 406hp/420Nm.
The AMG engine is paired with an 8-speed DCT, while the Toyota engine is available with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The Turbo SE variant is the quickest, achieving 0-100 kph in 4 seconds with a top speed of 290 kph.
Weighing just 1,405 kg, the Emira balances agility and power. The interior features a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a premium KEF sound system, and optional 12-way adjustable sports seats. Physical controls for climate and drive modes enhance the driver-focused experience, while storage options include cupholders, door pockets, and rear space for soft bags.
