
Lotus has launched its second electric car, the Emeya, in India, with prices starting at Rs 2.34 crore for the base variant. Sitting below the Eletre SUV, the Emeya is part of the brand’s plan to go fully electric by 2028. The car comes in three variants: Standard, S, and R, all equipped with dual motors for all-wheel drive (AWD).
Lotus Emeya features
The base Emeya and Emeya S feature 600hp and 710Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. The Emeya R is the performance powerhouse, delivering 905hp and 985Nm, reaching 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 256 km/h.
All variants are powered by a 102kWh lithium-ion battery pack with 800-volt support, offering a WLTP range of 610 km (Standard), 540 km (S), and 435 km (R). 350kW DC fast charging charges the battery from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes, while a 22kWh AC charger takes 5.5 hours.
The Emeya features a luxurious interior, with Alcantara, leather, and knurled metal finishes, a 55-inch HUD, and a KEF audio system. The 8-inch driver’s display and 15.1-inch touchscreen control many car functions, including airflow direction. It also includes Level 4 ADAS, enabling hands-free driving when permitted.
With a 360-degree camera, an electrochromic glass roof, and a 509-litre boot, the Lotus Emeya offers a perfect blend of performance, luxury, and innovation in the electric vehicle segment.
