Kinetic Green, a manufacturer of electric vehicles, is working on an electric scooter designed for family use. Within the following 18 months, the new electric scooter is anticipated to be available for sale. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, the company’s founder and CEO, has stated that Kinetic Green does not currently have any plans to enter the growing electric motorbike sector in India.
The forthcoming family electric scooter will be an essential part of the brand’s Vision 3.0, which focuses on capturing scale as it enters the next phase of growth.
Speaking about the possibility of introducing electric bikes into the market, Motwani reportedly stated that the firm is not looking at motorcycles. She stated, “We are not looking at motorcycles as somehow people don’t like motorcycles Kinetic. They think Kinetic is more about scooters and the Luna brand.”
Kinetic Green has received a $25 million investment from private equity company Greater Pacific Capital (GPC) as part of a larger $40 million Series A round. The funds will be utilized to expand the company’s electric two- and three-wheeler operations.
