Kia Syros SUV new teaser dropped ahead of December 19 launch; Here’s what to expect

Kia is all set to launch its highly anticipated Syros SUV in India on December 19, carving a new niche in the sub-₹20 lakh SUV segment. Positioned between the popular Kia Seltos and Sonet, the Syros is expected to combine advanced features and a fresh design. The latest teaser video offers an exciting glimpse of the SUV’s design, features, and specifications, promising a unique offering in the compact SUV segment.

The latest teaser reveals a light blue exterior with contrasting black wheel arches and roof rails. Unlike most Indian SUVs, the Syros stands out with minimal chrome accents. Key highlights include flush-fitting door handles, vertical LED headlamps with DRLs, and L-shaped LED taillights. Its boxy design, squared wheel arches, and sleek window lines further enhance its aesthetic appeal.

Inside, the Kia Syros promises luxury and advanced technology. Confirmed features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-screen setup, and a new steering wheel. The infotainment system will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, accompanied by automatic climate control, ventilated seats, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

The Syros is expected to offer two engine choices:

  • 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine: 118 bhp, 172 Nm, with 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT.
  • 1.5-litre diesel engine: 116 bhp, 250 Nm, paired with a manual or automatic transmission.
