Kia is getting ready to introduce the updated Carens to the Indian market. On Indian roads, the MPV has been seen on several occasions. Before the car is launched, the firm is probably performing high-altitude testing in Sissu, where Caren’s facelift was recently seen. It is expected that the Carens facelift will be available at dealerships by the end of 2024.
The exterior of the 2024 Kia Carens will see some major modifications. So, there would be a new pair of headlights at the front, similar to those found on the newly introduced EV3. Kia would be using LED units. The sides would have a new set of alloy wheels. At the back, there would be updated LED taillights. Both the front and back bumpers would be modified.
Despite interior specifics being unknown, the facelifted Carens is expected to maintain the present model’s layout, with six- and seven-seat variants.
The current engine lineup is anticipated to be offered under the hood of the Carens facelift. This includes the 1.5-liter, 113-bhp petrol engine, the 1.5-liter, 158-bhp turbo-petrol engine and the 1.5-liter, 113-bhp diesel engine. The turbo-petrol engine comes with a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission as standard, whereas the naturally aspirated petrol engine has a basic manual gearbox. Three different gearbox options are available for the diesel variant: a 6-speed torque converter automatic, an iMT and a manual.
