Kawasaki has officially launched the much-anticipated KLX 230 in India, priced at Rs 3.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the dual-purpose motorcycle opened in October, with deliveries scheduled for January 2025. The KLX 230 is Kawasaki’s first road-legal dual-sport motorcycle in India, offering adventure lovers the perfect blend of on-road and off-road capability.

With a tall and slim design, the KLX 230 features long-travel suspension, wire-spoke wheels, and a single-piece seat, ideal for both urban commutes and off-road adventures. To meet road-legal requirements, it comes equipped with an LED headlamp, turn indicators, rear-view mirrors, a saree guard, and dual-purpose tyres. It is available in two striking colours: Lime Green and Battle Grey.
The KLX 230 is built on a high-tensile steel frame, offering 240mm front suspension travel and 250mm rear suspension travel for excellent off-road performance. It features a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup, along with disc brakes and dual-channel ABS for enhanced stopping power. With a 265mm ground clearance and a seat height of 880mm, the bike offers a comfortable ride for most riders. Weighing only 139 kg and with a fuel tank capacity of 7.6 litres, it is both lightweight and practical.
Powered by a 233cc single-cylinder engine producing 19.73 bhp and 20.3 Nm of torque, the KLX 230 is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The minimalist LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity adds convenience, offering readouts such as speedometer, fuel gauge, and trip meter.
