Honda patents unveil details of upcoming Neo-Retro motorcycle

Honda is gearing up to introduce a new neo-retro roadster in the sub-500cc segment, with patent images revealing exciting design and engine details. This all-new motorcycle draws inspiration from the Honda CB300R’s “neo sports cafe” design language, offering a unique blend of modern aesthetics and retro appeal.

The bike features a single-piece seat, round LED headlight, and flat handlebars, providing a relaxed and upright riding position. Round turn indicators and rearview mirrors perfectly complement the neo-retro theme. Its design rivals models like the Hero Mavrick 440 in stance, offering a more contemporary look than retro-focused bikes such as the Royal Enfield 350 series or Jawa 350.

Under the hood, Honda’s new roadster is expected to feature a 293.52 cc, oil-cooled engine similar to the one found in the Honda CB300F. The engine delivers around 24 bhp at 7500 rpm and 25.6 Nm at 5500 rpm, offering a more relaxed power delivery compared to the higher-revving CB300R. This engine, known for its smooth performance, aligns well with the bike’s laid-back design ethos.

While specifics remain scarce, this upcoming model is set to strengthen Honda’s position in India’s rapidly growing motorcycle market. With its appealing design and powerful engine, it will compete with models like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and other modern classics.
