Honda meets E20 fuel standards for entire lineup in India

Honda Cars India has successfully obtained E20 fuel compliance certification for its entire lineup, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility. The company revealed that all its vehicles have been E20-material compatible since 2009, allowing customers to adopt the greener fuel without modifications.

With this achievement, Honda has met the Government of India’s requirement ahead of the April 1, 2025, deadline, which mandates all new cars to be E20 fuel-compatible.

Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., emphasized the brand’s dedication to eco-friendly solutions, stating, “At Honda Cars India, we are committed to driving sustainable mobility solutions. The latest compliance certification for our current models aligns with India’s goal to implement greener fuels.”

Honda’s India portfolio includes the Elevate, City, and Amaze. The latest launch was the third-generation Amaze subcompact sedan, available in three trims. Recently, Honda announced a price hike of up to ₹30,000 on the Amaze, bringing its price range to ₹8.10 lakh – ₹11.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
