Hero MotoCorp is all set to unveil its highly anticipated Hero Xtreme 250R at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 19. After its unveiling at the EICMA 2024 in Italy, the Xtreme 250R, along with the Xpulse 210 and Karizma XMR 250, is expected to redefine the quarter-litre motorcycle segment in India. Ahead of the launch, the Xtreme 250R was spotted in Delhi. Here’s everything you need to know about Hero MotoCorp’s latest addition to the premium motorcycle market.
The Xtreme 250R features a bold, muscular design with sharp lines, aggressive styling, and a compact exhaust system. The front headlamp comes with an LED DRL for enhanced visibility, while the split seat adds to the bike’s sporty look. Built on a trellis frame, it offers a 50:50 weight distribution for a balanced ride.
At the heart of the Xtreme 250R lies a newly developed 250cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine. This powerhouse produces 29.5 bhp at 9,250 rpm and a peak torque of 25 Nm at 7,250 rpm. Hero claims the Xtreme 250R can accelerate to 60 kmph in just 3.25 seconds. The same engine will also power the Karizma XMR 250.
The bike is equipped with 43mm upside-down forks at the front and a six-step preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Twin disc brakes with switchable ABS modes ensure maximum control and safety.
A modern TFT digital instrument console brings smart connectivity, including Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle diagnostics, and call and SMS alerts, making the Hero Xtreme 250R a feature-packed performance machine.
