Hero Vida patents design for electric ADV motorcycle ahead of launch

Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle division, Vida, is gearing up for the launch of its first electric adventure (ADV) motorcycle, expected in India by 2025. This marks an exciting shift in the company’s venture into electric mobility, combining sustainability with off-road capability. Vida has recently filed a design patent for this upcoming electric ADV, hinting at its innovative features.

The development follows the successful unveiling of two electric adventure bike concepts, the Lynx and Acro, at EICMA 2023. The Lynx was aimed at adult riders with a focus on off-road performance, while the Acro was designed as a learner’s bike, catering to younger riders.

The newly patented design seems to align closely with the Acro, featuring no front braking components, which echoes its original concept as a lightweight, beginner-friendly electric motorcycle.

Hero MotoCorp’s bold move into the electric adventure motorcycle segment demonstrates its commitment to sustainable innovation and expanding its global footprint. The upcoming launch is poised to revolutionize the electric off-road vehicle market and attract enthusiasts looking for eco-friendly adventure bikes.
