Hero has officially discontinued the XPulse 200T 4V and Xtreme 200S 4V, marking the end of two models that struggled in the market despite several updates. Both bikes, which shared a 199.6cc air/oil-cooled engine, aimed at different segments but failed to capture significant market interest.
The XPulse 200T was a more street-focused variant of the XPulse 200, featuring 17-inch alloy wheels for improved on-road handling. Priced at Rs 1.40 lakh at the time of discontinuation, it was positioned as an affordable alternative to the more off-road-centric XPulse 200.
On the other hand, the Xtreme 200S was a fully-faired commuter with reasonable ergonomics, priced slightly higher at Rs 1.41 lakh. It aimed to offer a stylish, commuter-friendly ride but couldn’t generate enough sales momentum.
Both models were priced lower than the XPulse 200 4V, which ranged from Rs 1.52 lakh to Rs 1.65 lakh. Despite their affordability, these bikes did not meet Hero’s expectations for volume sales, prompting the company to discontinue them.
