Citroen recently unveiled a big upgrade to the C3 Aircross SUV, including new features, an engine option and a new name. The company no longer uses the ‘C3’ prefix and just refers to it as the ‘Aircross SUV’. Prices for the updated Aircross now start at Rs 8.49 lakh and rise to Rs 13.99 lakh for the top-spec turbo-AT model. Bookings for the all-new Aircross started today, and delivery is scheduled to begin on October 8.
Citroen Aircross SUV features
The addition of automatic temperature control and LED headlights to the top-spec trims of the Aircross is the most significant update. Additionally, Citroen installed a rear AC vent, a new grab handle on the passenger side, electrically folding wing mirrors, a new flip key, a wider sliding front armrest and soft-touch material on the dashboard.
A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, a rear parking camera with sensors, and hill-start assistance are some of the other features.
Citroen has launched the 82hp, 115Nm 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which was previously available with the C3 hatchback. Citroen has been able to cut the starting price of the Aircross by just offering a 5-speed manual transmission. The 110hp, 190Nm 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine remains unchanged and is coupled to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
