BYD India has officially announced that the Sealion 7 electric SUV will launch on February 17, 2025. This will be the brand’s most expensive offering in India, competing directly with the Kia EV6, which is set for a facelift soon.

Bookings for the Sealion 7 are already open with a token amount of ₹70,000. As part of a limited-time promotional offer, BYD will contribute an additional ₹70,000 towards the car’s price. Customers will also receive a 7-year/1,50,000 km warranty and a complimentary 7kW AC home charger with free installation. Deliveries for the first 70 units will begin on March 7, 2025.
BYD Sealion 7: Variants & Performance
The Sealion 7 is available in two variants – Premium and Performance – both powered by an 82.56kWh battery. The Premium variant offers 313hp, 380Nm torque, and 567km range, while the Performance model delivers 530hp, 690Nm torque, and a range of 542km. Acceleration times stand at 6.7 seconds (RWD) and 4.5 seconds (AWD) for 0-100 km/h.
Top Features & Safety
The BYD Sealion 7 comes with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a head-up display (HUD), ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, 12-speaker audio system, a powered tailgate, and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology.
For safety, the SUV includes 11 airbags, an ADAS suite with forward collision alert, blind spot detection, and lane departure assist, 360-degree cameras, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and front & rear parking sensors.
