The BYD Sealion 7, a newly launched electric vehicle in India, has already secured over 1,000 bookings, signaling its strong entry into the EV market. Priced between ₹48.9 lakh and ₹54.9 lakh for the Premium and Performance trims, this electric crossover offers impressive features and performance that are capturing the attention of Indian consumers. Deliveries will begin in mid-March 2025.

The Sealion 7 boasts a sleek, modern design with a sloping roofline and distinct X-shaped elements in the front bumper, headlights, and tail-lamps. Inside, it offers a luxurious cabin with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, ventilated front seats, connected car technology, panoramic sunroof, and wireless phone charging. Its spacious boot offers 520-litres of space, expanding to 1,789 litres with the rear seats down, plus a 58-litre frunk for extra storage.
The Premium variant offers 313hp and 380Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds with a range of 482 km (WLTP). The Performance variant takes it up a notch, delivering 530hp, 690Nm, and reaching 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, with a range of 456 km. Both variants come with all-wheel drive for enhanced handling and performance.
Safety is a priority in the Sealion 7, with 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a suite of ADAS features, including forward collision warning, blind spot detection, and automatic emergency braking.
