BYD has officially launched its new electric SUV, the Sealion 7, in India with prices starting at Rs 48.9 lakh for the base Premium variant, going up to Rs 54.9 lakh for the top Performance trim. The SUV debuted at the Auto Expo 2025, and bookings are now open, with deliveries of the first 70 units set to begin on March 7.

The BYD Sealion 7 is available in two variants:
- Premium: Rs 48.9 lakh
- Performance: Rs 54.9 lakh
Both variants feature an 82.56kWh LFP battery pack, offering impressive performance and range.
Design and Features
The Sealion 7 sports a sleek crossover design, with a sloping roofline and X-shaped elements in the front bumper, headlights, and tail-lamps. The cabin is equally refined, featuring a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, ventilated front seats, connected car tech, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, and more. It also offers a spacious 520-litre boot, expandable to 1,789 litres with rear seats down, and a 58-litre frunk.
Performance and Range
The Premium variant delivers 313hp and 380Nm, achieving 0-100kph in 6.7 seconds and a WLTP-claimed range of 482km. The Performance variant offers 530hp and 690Nm, reaching 0-100kph in 4.5 seconds and a WLTP-claimed range of 456km. It also features all-wheel drive for enhanced handling.
Safety Features
Safety is a key focus, with the Sealion 7 equipped with 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a suite of ADAS features, including blind spot detection, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
