BSA Gold Star 650 to be unveiled on August 15 in India

Classic Legends, a Mahindra Group subsidiary, will launch the much-awaited BSA Gold Star 650 in India on August 15, 2024.

The BSA Gold Star, a 650 cc single-cylinder modern classic bike, was globally introduced in 2021 by the company that revived the old British motorcycle marquee. The company is now set to introduce the motorbike in India, which will also mark the launch of the BSA brand to the nation.

The forthcoming Gold Star design is inspired by the original BSA Gold Star from the 1950s and 1960s. So you have a lot of chrome, round headlamps, a teardrop-shaped tank, a flat seat and wire spoke wheels. The bike also features some modern features, such as a 41 mm telescopic front fork, a tubular steel dual cradle frame and dual shocks with 5-step preload adjustment at the back.

BSA also provides 320 mm front and 255 mm rear discs with Brembo two-piston and single-piston floating calipers, respectively. The manufacturer also provides dual-channel ABS as standard. The new BSA Gold Star 650 will feature a 12-litre petrol tank and a kerb weight of 213 kg.

A 652 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine with four valves and dual spark plugs powers the motorcycle. The engine is designed to produce 45 bhp at 5000 rpm and 55 Nm of maximum torque at 4000 rpm. A five-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch is paired with the engine.
