
BMW has announced that the highly anticipated flagship motorcycle, the BMW R 1300 GS, will make its debut on September 28, 2023, during the opening ceremony of the new BMW Motorrad Welt in Berlin. Preceding its official launch, full-fledged images of the motorcycle have already surfaced online, creating a buzz among enthusiasts.
Serving as a successor to the renowned BMW R 1250 GS, the new model will be equipped with a 1,300cc boxer-twin engine and a 6-speed transmission. It is expected to offer improved performance, with power and torque figures of 143bhp and 143Nm, respectively, surpassing its predecessor.
The R 1300 GS is also anticipated to feature BMW’s ShiftCam technology and may come with slight variations in its tuning compared to the existing 1250 series.
In related news, BMW celebrated a significant milestone by delivering its 1,000,000th unit of the R 1250 GS Triple Black. Sharing the same powertrain as the standard R 1250 GS, this model boasts a 1,254cc liquid-cooled boxer-twin engine, delivering 134bhp of power and 143Nm of torque. Equipped with advanced safety features such as ABS and traction control, the R 1250 GS ensures a secure and enjoyable riding experience.
