BMW R 1300 GS launched in India, priced at Rs 20.95 lakh

BMW Motorrad recently launched the R 1300 GS in India, priced at ₹20.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Through the CBU (completely built-up unit) route, it was introduced in India. Three versions of the R 1300 GS will be offered: Style Triple Black, Style GS Trophy and 719 Tramuntana.

Compared to the R 1250 GS, the BMW R 1300 GS is lighter by 12 kg and more compact. The weight decrease is due to new sheet metal and a lighter engine. The engine is a bigger 1300cc boxer twin unit capable of producing 145 horsepower and 149 Nm of maximum torque. It has a bidirectional quick shifter and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.4 seconds. The max speed is listed at 225 kmph.
