BMW Motorrad has officially unveiled the all-new Concept F 450 GS motorcycle. This exciting new model is in the near-production-ready stage and is set to fill the gap between the popular BMW G 310 GS and the more robust F 800/900 models. Although specific details regarding its launch timeline are limited, BMW Motorrad has indicated plans for series production to commence in 2025.
The heart of the Concept F 450 GS is a 450cc twin-cylinder engine, which BMW has developed entirely from scratch. This engine produces an impressive 48bhp and has been finely tuned to deliver robust performance at lower revs.
One of the standout features of this new engine is its compact design and lightweight construction, due to the use of advanced materials such as magnesium. The kerb weight of the Concept F 450 GS is just 175kg, which translates to a remarkable power-to-weight ratio, enhancing the bike’s agility and responsiveness on various terrains.
The Concept F 450 GS boasts a sophisticated suspension system, featuring fully adjustable front USD suspension and a rear shock absorber with load-dependent damping.
The F 450 GS is equipped with a suite of advanced features designed to enhance rider safety and comfort. These include lean-sensitive ABS, which adapts braking performance to different lean angles, and configurable riding modes that allow riders to tailor the bike’s performance to their preferences. Additionally, the motorcycle comes with a 6.5-inch TFT screen that supports Bluetooth connectivity.
