BMW Group India has reported its highest-ever annual sales, with 15,721 units sold across BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad brands in 2024, marking an impressive 11% year-on-year growth. BMW alone achieved 15,012 unit sales, an all-time high and a 13% YoY growth, also recording its best-ever quarter 4 sales.
The luxury division of BMW, including the 7 Series, i7, X7, and XM, saw remarkable growth with 2,507 units sold, an 8% increase. The BMW X7 was the top-selling high-end luxury model with 1,570 units sold, contributing significantly to the overall sales. Additionally, the 7 Series saw a 15% growth, with 865 units sold in 2024.
BMW’s Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) accounted for 56% of total sales, with the BMW X5 posting a notable 89% YoY growth, selling 2,056 units. The BMW X1 was also the top choice in the premium compact SAV segment. In electric vehicles, BMW Group India sold 1,249 units of electric cars, with the BMW i7 leading the charge with 384 units sold.
MINI India also showed growth, delivering 709 units, while BMW Motorrad achieved record sales of 8,301 motorcycles, with a 14% YoY growth in the second half of the year.
BMW Group India’s performance in 2024 underscores its dominance in the luxury automotive sector in India, with significant growth across all segments, including high-end luxury cars, electric vehicles and motorcycles.
