Bajaj Pulsar F250 discontinued in India; Here’s why

Bajaj Auto has officially discontinued the Pulsar F250 in the Indian market for the second time, just seven months after its latest update. The semi-faired quarter-litre motorcycle, which saw subtle changes to enhance its features and value, has been delisted from the brand’s website and dealers are no longer accepting bookings. Despite this, the Pulsar N250 streetfighter remains on sale.

The Pulsar F250 was introduced as a successor to the beloved Pulsar F220, which has remained a top seller for Bajaj for nearly two decades. However, the F250 struggled to match the F220’s popularity and sales figures, despite offering superior refinement, build quality and added features.

On paper, the F250 outshines the F220 in nearly every aspect, offering a more refined engine and better overall quality. Yet, the F220 holds emotional value for many buyers, making it a preferred choice despite its age.

The Pulsar F220 continues to remain an exciting and value-for-money option, priced at ₹1.39 lakh (ex-showroom), while the F250’s discontinuation reflects the challenges in the competitive 250cc segment. While the Pulsar F250’s journey has come to an end, the F220 remains a key player for Bajaj, retaining its strong fan base.
