Bajaj CNG bike to be unveiled on 5 July; Here’s what to expect

Bajaj Auto has shared an official invitation to the media for the presentation of their highly awaited CNG motorbike next month. The forthcoming Bajaj CNG bike will be unveiled on July 5, 2024, instead of the originally scheduled date of July 17. Bajaj has stated that the next CNG bike would be unveiled in the presence of Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto.

The Bajaj CNG motorbike has a flat single seat with what looks to be a lid for the CNG tank intake, according to the teaser image. The bike is expected to include twin fuel tanks for CNG and petrol. The company guarantees a smooth transition in performance between the two fuel options.

The forthcoming CNG motorbike is anticipated to be a game-changer and a first in the world. According to Bajaj, compared to motorbikes in the same market that run only on petrol, CNG motorcycles would have 50% lower running costs.

The two-wheeler company has a long history of making CNG three-wheelers, but this is the first time a manufacturer has introduced a CNG-powered motorbike. The firm is focusing on the commuter market in the 100-150 cc range, and the upcoming bike will be the first in a new line of CNG bikes planned by the company.
