The Aprilia Tuono 457, unveiled at EICMA 2024, is likely to make its debut in India in January 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Based on the Aprilia RS 457, this street naked bike combines aggressive design with powerful features.
Here’s what to expect in Aprilia Tuono 457
Design and Features
The Aprilia Tuono 457 stands out with its sharp, streetfighter design, featuring LED headlamps with V-shaped DRLs and a central twin projector setup. The fuel tank is slightly downsized to 12.7 liters, maintaining its muscular aesthetic. While the radiator cowls are slimmer, the updated seat design offers improved comfort without sacrificing the bold look. The bike includes modern features like all-LED lights, traction control, multiple ride modes, ABS, and a color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.
Performance and Specs
Under the hood, the Tuono 457 packs a 457 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, delivering 46.9 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque. Paired with a six-speed gearbox, it may offer an optional quick-shifter. The bike is built around a dual-beam aluminum frame, supported by adjustable upside-down forks at the front and a rear monoshock. Braking is handled by a 320 mm floating disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear, while wide 17-inch tires ensure excellent grip.
Competition
The Aprilia Tuono 457 will compete in the Indian market with the KTM 390 Duke, Yamaha MT-03, and BMW G 310 R, offering riders a new option in the premium street naked category.
