Aprilia is gearing up to introduce the much-anticipated Tuono 457 in India. The Italian brand has officially filed a design patent for the upcoming streetfighter, indicating that its launch is imminent. Previously, Aprilia listed the motorcycle on its Indian website, hinting at an early arrival.

A street-naked version of the RS 457, the Tuono 457 has the same 457cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 46.6 horsepower and 43.5 Nm of torque. Its smooth operation is ensured by its six-speed gearbox and bidirectional quick-shifter. Advanced rider aids include traction control, multiple riding modes, and dual-channel ABS.
Compared to its supersport sibling, the Tuono 457 has a more ergonomic and upright riding position and is designed for urban performance. It has single-disc brakes on both ends and wheels made of 17-inch alloy. The suspension system consists of a monoshock at the back and adjustable USD forks up front. A TFT instrument cluster and full LED lighting are extra high-end features.
Expected to be priced slightly lower than the RS 457 (₹4.20 lakh, ex-showroom), the Tuono 457 will take on rivals like the Yamaha MT-03 and KTM 390 Duke.
