The X3’s interior is set up similarly to those of vehicles like the most recent 5-Series, X1 and X2. To give it a more futuristic look, the dashboard, centre console and steering wheel have all been updated inside the cabin.

The main displays in the interior are a 14.9-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch information panel that are combined into one unit behind the steering wheel. Based on BMW Operating System 9, the infotainment system utilizes the most recent version of BMW iDrive with QuickSelect.

The 3.0-liter inline-six petrol engine (393 bhp, 580 Nm, M50 variant), 2.0-liter diesel engine (194 bhp, 400 Nm, 20d variant), 2.0-liter petrol engine (208 bhp, 330 Nm, 20 variant), and a plug-in hybrid variant of the same petrol engine (e30 variant) are the four powertrain options available for the all-new X3. All engines are equipped with an eight-speed automated transmission and 48 V mild hybrid technology.
