The former Chief Minister of Punjab and leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Amarinder Singh, stated that he recently discussed several Punjab-related issues, particularly those affecting the farming sector, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Farmers, who have been strongly against the new agricultural laws, recently rejected the Central government’s proposal regarding the procurement of pulses, maize, and cotton at Minimum Support Prices (MSP) by government agencies for five years.
