Three farm bills have been passed amid farmers and opposition protests, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur’s resignation, 8 MPs suspension and controversies.
Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has told the food grain production in the pandemic and expected production of pulses & oilseed.
“The country has witnessed record food grain production of 296.65 million tonnes in 2019-20 under unfavourable conditions imposed by COVID-19. Pulses & oilseed production is expected to be at 23.15 & 33.42 million tonnes respectively,” said Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
Currently, Rajya Sabha has been adjourned for the day but Lok Sabha is set to take up 6 bills.
Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2020; Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020; The Epidemic Diseases (Amendment) Bill, 2020; Homeopathy Central Council (Amendment) Bill, 2020; Indian Medicine Central Council (Amendment) Bill, 2020 and Factoring Regulation (Amendment) Bill,2020.
