UP has changed a lot since BJP came into power: Amit Shah

Amit Shah says cases of dacoity reduced by 72%, burglary reduced by 62%, kidnapping reduced by 39% and rape cases have reduced to half.

Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah in his exclusive interview to News18 said he has seen tremendous changes and growth in UP. He said that way back in 2013 he had by road travelled to every district leaving some spots in Sonbhadra, he observed that registering an FIR was feared at one point in time. When SP formed the government, a section in the community thought it could exploit power.

In the western part of UP, some farmers lost their cattle their buffaloes and the farmers were powerless. He said he had seen that incident. He also mentioned that people had left for their children’s better future in Delhi. People started migrating from Meerut. Land mafia would grab their properties worth crores of rupees. And the people were helpless.

UP has gone through a lot of positive changes after Yogi Adityanath took the position of CM in UP. Amit says cases of dacoity reduced by 72%, burglary reduced by 62%, kidnapping reduced by 39% and rape cases have reduced to half. This is a major milestone in UP.

“People like Azam Khan, Atiq Ansari and Mukhtar Ansari are imprisoned today. UP people couldn’t have imagined that as a reality. Peace prevails and under the aegis of the current CM, it will continue. Properties evaluated at 200 crores have been taken back from land sharks. This is a major milestone and people are aware of this and acknowledge our efforts. This is shown in their voting as well,” said Amit Shah to News18.

Amit Shah was very happy to see girls driving their 2-wheeler bikes through the streets of Kanpur. It was pretty late in the night and he was looking at the streets from his hotel window and he saw girls driving away feeling safe. That felt really good to see such freedom. This was not the case for the previous generations.
