Further, Prasad added, “Sharad Pawar ji is a senior political leader of the country. He ought to have understood the implications of giving a complete clean chit to Anil Deshmukh,” as quoted by ANI.

Well, the resignation came after the Bombay HC called for a CBI investigation into the case. The Bombay HC has requested the CBI to conduct a preliminary inquiry into the case, on hearing the petition filed by the lawyer Jaishri Patel.

“I don’t have the moral right to continue in the office after the court order. I’ve decided to quit. Kindly relieve me from my post”, mentioned the Home minister in his resignation letter submitted to CM Uddhav Thackeray.

The case sprung up after the Ex-Police commissioner Param Bir Singh, alleged Anil Deshmukh that he used to carry out an ‘Extortion’ racket via some police officials.

Well, the state BJP chief Chandrakant Patil has uttered that he is happy that Deshmukh has quit and there will be many shocking revelations in the CBI investigation; according to the Times of India reports.
