Uddhav Thackeray will “resign if Shiv Sainiks come ahead & demand so”

In his address today Uddhav Thackeray has very confidently said, “I am ready to resign if my Shiv Sainiks come ahead and demand me to do so.”

Mahavikas Aghadi government, a coalition ruling government in Maharashtra comprising of Shiv Sena, NCP & Congress, has met an unforeseen end after the faction led by Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde turned rebel against the association. As well as Uddhav Thackeray. Eknath Shinde went incommunicado after the declaration of the Vidhansabha elections. In a massive turnaround for the Maha Vikas Aghadi, Shiv Sena lost the majority of its MLAs to Eknath Shinde’s faction.

After being unable to prove a majority, Uddhav Thackeray led dismissed the Vidhan Sabha. It was earlier reported that 46 MLAs were a part of Eknath Shinde’s faction which broke up the alliance citing the Hindutva reason. BJP unit from Maharashtra, time and again, gave defeats to the MVA in Rajya Sabha and Vidhansabha elections.

In his adress today, Uddhav Thackeray clearly stated. “I couldn’t give appointments to meet the party workers or other leaders because I was under treatment for the last 2-3 months.”

Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena commitment

“Shivsena hasn’t changed since the demise of Balasaheb Thackeray. We are still bounded by Hindutva,”

He reminded. “NCP President Sharad Pawar had insisted me to take up the role of Chief Minister.”

“Congress and NCP extended me support but I am more hurt because my own people don’t trust me. These people didn’t approach me to step down as a Chief Minister, rather, they went to Surat and kept commenting. I don’t have fetish with the CM’s post. Those revolted against me should come ahead and talk.”

Hence, Thackeray very confidently added. “I am ready to resign if my Shiv Sainiks come ahead and demand me to do so.”
